Nabila Khan will be spending the summer of 2014 with IWRP partner Bangladesh Legal Aid Services (BLAST) in Bangladesh, working with Executive Director Sara Hossain to research the impact that current conditions of garment factories in Bangladesh have on women workers. Nabila, an Osgoode Hall Law School student, will focus her research on effects of the working conditions on health and safety, wage and sustainability, mental health, ability to fulfill domestic responsibilities, and worker autonomy to negotiate. This project will build on the work of the IWRP Director in Bangladesh in 2013.
