We are very excited to introduce another addition to the IWRP family! Heather Monasky has joined us as a Research Associate. Heather will be focusing on our Violence against Women and Girls area. She recently completed an International Law Fellowship at the American Society of International, where she focused her research on international human rights and gender and served as Program Manager for the Women in International Law Mentoring Program. Heather has a B.A. in English from the University of Minnesota and a J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law. She has litigated criminal cases in northern California and worked on asylum, U-Visa, and VAWA cases. Heather has published law review articles on the criminalization of sex work and its relation to sex trafficking and on state parties’ use of the Convention To Eliminate All Forms of Discrimination against Women to promote women’s human rights
