In October 2016, the Prime Minister of Canada appointed IWRP F ounder and first Director , Marilou McPhedran, as an independent Senator to the Senate of Canada. IWRP knows that she will bring her life ‘s work on women’s equality and human rights to Ottawa while she addresses issues of Senate and governance reform. We congratulate her, and our country!
