Susan Bazilli, Director of the International Women’s Rights Project, attended the Rio+20 conference, working with the Women’s Major Group and UN Women. The IWRP prepared a position paper for UN Women on recommendations for engendering the institutional frameworks for sustainable development options and a paper for UNDP Gender and Governance on women and water. The IWRP also co-organized a session on women and water in collaboration with the African Ministers’ Council on Water; the Gender and Water Alliance; the UNDP; the Global Water Partnership; and UNEP.
