In March 2018 IWRP was honoured to host Sizani Ngubane, Director of the Rural Women’s Movement (KZN) from South Africa. Sizani won the Woman of Distinction award this year at the UN CSW. IWRP spent a week with Sizani in New York at the UN. We hosted her in Ottawa, where she was introduced in the Senate by Senator Marilou McPhedran, and also in Vancouver where she was hosted by the Canadian Federation of University Women and Sophia Financial.
